NEWBURY, OH… August 12, 2021 was a special day for Roger Kral, it marked the 50th Anniversary of his safe driving for Kuhnle Brothers in Newbury, Ohio.  The owners and employees of Kuhnle Brothers honored Kral for this monumental milestone with an event in his honor.

Guests enjoyed a catered steak fry, complete with dessert.  Roger’s truck was parked in front of the Kuhnle building, where CEO Kim Kuhnle presented him with two special stickers, one for each door, placed at eye level for the 4-wheelers to view.  Roger also received a special Eagle trophy.  Then, to everyone’s surprise, Kim presented Roger with a giant check for $50,000 for his 50 years of safe driving for Kuhnle Brothers.

76-year-old Roger Kral began his driving career in 1962 at the age of 18 driving for a gas company.  He joined Kuhnle Brothers on August 12, 1971.  During his 50-year career with Kuhnle Brothers, Roger has logged over 5 million miles without a chargeable accident.  Casey McNicholas put Kral’s achievement in perspective, remarking, “It is like 200 trips around the Earth or 11 trips to the moon and back, all without having an accident.”

When asked what the secret to his success is, Roger stated, “You have to pay attention all the time – and a little luck doesn’t hurt, either!”

Roger and his wife Cindy have been together for 40 years and married for 36.  The couple lives in Newbury, Ohio and have another home in Florida.  Roger plans to keep on trucking for as long as Cindy will let him.
