J.T. Mercier

December 2021

he phrase "Third Generation" sits up high on the back of J.T. Mercier's sleeper, and he's certainly carrying on the family trucking tradition as he follows in the footsteps of his grandfather, Ollie Mercier, and his father, John Mercier, who both had diesel in their veins!

J.T. is a third-generation driver and he represents the trucking industry with class in his jet black 2005 Kenworth. This Georgia native hauls flatbed freight with his K-Dub and he makes sure it's always looking right when he hits the interstate. J.T. says the truck's nickname is Megatron and he wanted to thank D&L Designs for fabricating the custom interior box with the nickname on it. The truck is accented by just enough chrome & lights and J.T. credits DTP Chrome Shop and Steckler Bros. for hooking him up with what he needed. The 265" wheelbase features a custom lighted bumper up front, angle cut straight pipes, Hogebuilt fenders, and polished rear light bars.

J.T. hauls flatbed freight, operating Mercier Trucking with his dad, John, who he thanks for being an awesome role model and for supporting his journey in trucking. Power comes from a 600 Compound Turbo CAT engine that's paired up with a 10 speed and a set of 3:36 rears.  J.T. had "House of Air" install an air ride front end that he says gave his KW just the right look & attitude that it needed! He definitely keeps this ride looking much younger than most 2005's, and J.T. credits Patrick Friday at It's Your Time Truck Wash & Detailing for always keeping his ride shining.

As most of you know, trucking comes with long hours & lots of time away from home, and J.T. wanted to thank his wife for all of her love and support along the way, and for taking care of the kids & the house while he's out on the road. J.T. Mercier and Megatron have plenty of miles left to cover, and he's certainly showing other young drivers in the trucking industry how to do it in style! Congratulations are in order for being chosen as our December Working Show Truck of the Month - "Keep On Truckin" J.T.!
