About Us: P. I. & I. Motor Express is a leader in the flatbed industry and is looking for a dedicated and safety-focused CDL Class A Flatbed Truck Driver to join our Masury, Ohio team. We pride ourselves on providing reliable service, maintaining a modern fleet, and ensuring our drivers are home every weekend with competitive pay and comprehensive benefits. We are a percentage-based carrier. Percentage is based on experience.
Responsibilities
Safe Vehicle Operation: Operate a tractor-trailer safely and efficiently, complying with all federal (DOT), state, and local regulations.
Flatbed Expertise: Expertly secure, tarp, and haul steel coils, ensuring compliance with load securement standards.
Deliveries and Route Planning: Transport and deliver to customer locations on assignment regional routes.
Loading and Unloading: Perform pre- and post-trip inspections on all equipment and complete all required paperwork (e.g., Bill of Lading, logbooks, trip manifests).
Safety and Compliance: Maintain a clean driving record and adhere strictly to all safety policies, including securing freight and monitoring proper cargo weight distribution.
Customer Service: Represent the company professionally by interacting courteously with customers and ensuring on-time deliveries.
Documentation: Properly complete and submit all company work orders, delivery receipts, and electronic logging device (ELD) records in a timely manner.
Qualifications
Must possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
Minimum of 6 months, 1-year verifiable steel coil experience is required.
If no steel coil experience - paid training period.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen, and background check.
Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
Must be able to lift, push, or move product weighing an average of 40-60 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds.
