Schneider Raises Pay for Team and Solo Truck Drivers

August 2018

GREEN BAY, WI… Schneider, one of the nation’s largest trucking carriers, continues to make big changes to enhance drivers’ lives. In May, Schneider will provide another pay increase for most drivers in its Van Truckload and Bulk divisions.

This latest pay increase applies to both solo and team drivers. It is the latest in a series of pay hikes that Schneider has implemented over the last 20 months, which has resulted in double-digit percentage increases to base pay rates.

Beginning Jan. 1, 2018, a newly designed performance pay program added up to 4 cents per mile for Schneider drivers who meet basic criteria to increase take-home earnings. This is based on a driver’s average performance in the previous quarter and will be paid per mile on a weekly basis. The design, achievability and earnings opportunity of this incentive program positions it as one of the best in the truckload industry.

Along with pay, Schneider knows how important family and time at home are for drivers. The company provides a wide variety of driving and home-time options to fit any driver’s lifestyle. From Dedicated account to Intermodal dray to Regional positions, many Schneider drivers get home daily, throughout the week, or weekly.

First and foremost, Schneider is committed to delivering a first-rate experience for its driving professionals. To that end, the company recently announced significant upgrades to its equipment.
