OMAHA, NE…. “A rich history, valued drivers, great safety record and dedication to customers.  We have your back, we honor commitment, and we own it, that is the Hill Bros. Way.”

Hill Bros. Transportation, Inc. is marking their 45th year in business in 2021. The company was founded in 1977 by Pete Hill, Sr.  His sons, Pete, Al, Pat, and Jim Hill took over in 1986.  Hill Bros. provides dry van and refrigerated services, hauling palletized frozen food, dry food, beer, and wine.  The company has dedicated, regional and long-haul freight.  The dedicated division services several major retailers as well as corrugated box manufacturers with general LTL and line haul freight.  Dedicated drivers operate in a 250-mile radius of Omaha and are home every night.  Regional drivers are home every 2 to 3 nights, depending on the length of haul.  They operate on lanes located on I-35 from Minneapolis to Kansas City and Omaha; the I-80 corridor from Chicago to Denver; and I-29 from Omaha to Kansas City.  Long haul drayage drivers create what is called a “Land Bridge”, hauling loaded ocean containers with fresh meat from Iowa and Nebraska to the California port of Oakland, destined for Japan.  The return loads are containers loaded with California wine hauled back to Denver and the Omaha area.

Hill Bros. is hiring company drivers, leasing owner-operators and lease purchase operators located near Minneapolis, Kansas City, Chicago, and Omaha.  The company also has opportunities for teams, both company and owner-operator to operate on high velocity routes from Omaha to Denver and Chicago to Denver.

Drivers enjoy working for Hill Bros., it’s a great family atmosphere where you are a name, not a number, according to Darnell Clark.  Driver Chad Cleary said, “My dispatchers are good guys.  They’re fun and they make me feel a part of the team.  They give the drivers the tools they need to get the job done safely and on time.”

Driver Mike Hoback remarked, “They stay in touch with you and have your back.  I will get random phone calls thanking me for doing my job.  I have worked for other companies, but this will be the last.”
