Kevin “Jake” Chismar

This month’s Working Show Truck is Kevin “Jake” Chismar’s gorgeous 2023 Peterbilt 389.  This beauty has a Cummins X15 engine with 605 horsepower, 18 speed transmission and 3:55 rears.

The truck runs 7 days a week/365 days a year transporting milk from farms to dairies in Ohio and Pennsylvania.

Kevin says his love for trucks began at an early age – both his Father and Uncle are truck drivers and they nicknamed him “Jake”  because he loved the noise of a Jake Brake!

He spent a lot of his childhood riding shotgun in this Dad’s old R model Mack. Kevin has been a Professional Truck Driver for 33 years, driving for his family’s business, Chismar and Sons. He has always loved shiny, large cars.

Kevin has two children, Tyler and Kayla who love the trucking industry and trucks as much as he does.  Tyler is following in his Dad’s footsteps and is also a Truck Driver and Kayla loves to help detail the trucks before they attend truck shows.
