SUN PRARIE, WI… After 35 years, JK Hackl, the company founded by Owner-Operator Jerry K. Many employees have been with the company for over 30 years and many drivers for 20-25 years. JK Hackl enjoys an extremely low driver turnover and when a driver leaves (usually due to lifestyle changes), the company welcomes them back if they should change their mind.

Keeping drivers busy at JK Hackl is not a problem with steady years round freight hauling high dollar, weather sensitive machinery, including metal working machinery, military equipment, power generation equipment, and transformer inverters. The company utilizes flatbed trailers, single drops, double drops, expandables, mechanical detachables, multi-axle trailers, and modular trailers up to 12 axles. It is all company equipment and Hackl operates late model Peterbilt 579 tractors spec’d the way Jerry would spec a truck for himself. APUs and refrigerators are part of the package. There is a 50/50 mix of legal and oversize loads, originating and delivering all across the USA and occasionally in Canada. Drivers take their truck home and maintenance is done on the road to save drivers the inconvenience of having to return to the corporate headquarters in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin.
JK Hackl’s 3-axle drivers annually earn over $94,000. The company also has several bonuses that drivers can earn, including: $2,500 sign-on bonus, safety, low idle, and referral bonus. All driving positions are solo and to quality, you must be at least 25 years of age, have 3 years flatbed experience in the last 5 years, and no major moving violations in the past 3 years. Drivers must also have the ability to stay out 3-5 weeks at a time. However, for every week out, 2 days off are earned, providing some quality home time.
