CALIFORNIA, MO… The 1st Annual Crossroads Truck Meet was held on Saturday, April 17th at The Crossroads Shopping Plaza, 31716 Old Eighty-Seven in California, Missouri.  The truck meet was a huge success with over 150 trucks showing up for the non-judged event and packing the Crossroads Shopping Plaza to near capacity.  Over 500 people were fed at the evening meal.

The entire day was one of fun and fellowship for friends and family, with a special emphasis on events especially for the kids, including mini-tractor rides, a jumping tent and playground and a coloring contest.  An ice cream parlor scooped up delicious treats and then there were the many beautiful Missouri Big Rigs to look at.  Over $10,000 in prizes were awarded to the truck show registrants.  A number of vendors were on hand.  A Light Show lighted up the night after the evening meal.  Pastors were on site to bless the trucks, drivers and their families and the following day, on Sunday the 18th, everyone was invited to Sunday Worship Services at 10 am followed by a free lunch.

The entire Rissler family was on hand to keep things running smoothly and a special thank-you is owed to John and Delton Rissler, owners of  the Crossroads Shopping Plaza for hosting the event.  Sponsors included:  Horse and Buggy Accessories; Diesel Power Plus; Edge Signs and Graphics; Red Cloud; ATA; Dynaflex Products; Trux; Hogebuilt; Minimizer; Brunner Industries; Valley Chrome Plating; Merritt; Grand General; Roadworks and Movin’ Out.
