REMINGTON, IN… This beautiful 1984 Peterbilt 359, owned by I-65 Transport, was completely restored last June at I-65 Chrome Shop’s own garage. The truck was stripped to the frame to begin its transformation. The frame was stretched to 312” and a 144” ARI sleeper was added, that includes a shower and kitchen. The restoration process involved converting the air wipers to electric and adding new cab panels, door panels and new panels in the hood. The 359 boasts a 7,000-watt generator and in-motion satellite TV. The new interior is white, like the interiors in Ford Mustangs.

In its previous life, the ’84 Pete pulled in stock classes around the country. It was also used to pull the Smith Racing Team and their racing truck, “The Tornado.” The 1984 Peterbilt is well equipped for the job with a 1,000 hp Detroit Series 60 engine, 13-speed edition transmission and 3:42 rear end.

I-65 Chrome Shop offers complete customization and restoration services as well as many other services for the truck. In addition to customization, I-65 Chrome Shop does chrome installations; wheel polishing, towing and offers recycled truck parts.
