Oldies But Goodies Shine At ATHS Truck Show

Kenworth of PA's 1978 Kenworth W900A was on display at the show.

CARLISLE, PA....There's more than one country western tune that tells that a little rain can't keep a good man down.  This past August 29th, that old adage proved true when drizzling rain made its way through Carlisle, Pennsylvania.  Over 100 drivers and their antique trucks couldn't be swayed and they drove into the parking lot of Kenworth of PA, 198 Kost Rd., just off Rt. 11 for the ATHS Show sponsored by the Susquehanna Valley Chapter and hosted by Kenworth of PA.

Because you can't keep a good trucker down, the rain retreated and the sun made an appearance, creating a nice day for the show.

The mood at the antique truck shows is always relaxed and jovial.  The owners of the trucks truly enjoy kicking back and talking about the good old days of trucking.  The trucks are a testament to days when there were Knights of the Highway and trucks were truly King of the Road.
