LOUISVILLE, KY…Western Star Truck Sales, Inc. has partnered with Denver-based custom truck shop Outlaw Customs to develop a tricked-out Western Star truck, now on display at the 2008 Mid-America Trucking Show (MATS). Christened "Rambling Rose" - an homage to Portland, Ore., the "Rose City" and home of the Western Star manufacturing plant - the truck features a custom exhaust and paint job, chromed-out fenders and grille, updated marker lights, and more.

Rambling Rose began as a Western Star® 4900 EX with an 82-inch Stratosphere® sleeper and Detroit Diesel Series 60® engine. Outlaw Customs and its team of suppliers - including PPG, Accuride, and Michelin worked around the clock to get the truck ready for its Louisville debut.

"We love working on Western Star® trucks because they're distinctive, and the trucks' classic lines and rugged construction make it easy to mold them into show-stopping trucks," said Alex Gobel, president, Outlaw Customs.

"Outlaw Customs is the next big thing in truck customization, so we're thrilled to work with them on this project," said TJ Reed, product manager for Western Star Trucks. "They had so many fresh ideas for this truck, and it's great to see their vision realized."
