Theodore, AL…Fleet-Air of Theodore, Alabama is now marketing hi-flow washable air filters for trucks, farm and construction equipment.  The Fleet-Air filter is constructed of reticulated polyurethane foam used in air filtration for many off road vehicles. Many big trucks today have the filters under the hood for aerodynamic design. At the same time diesel engines are producing more horsepower than ever which can require more air flow than stock air filters can flow.

Fleet-Air's design incorporates multi-layers of varying density foam ranging from course to fine in pore size, with the outer fine layers being oiled with foam air filter oil to trap dirt. The Fleet –Air filter provides less air restriction, there by increasing horsepower and fuel mileage. The foam can be removed and cleaned and then re-oiled for repeated use. Fleet-Air will custom-design a filter or an outer wrap for extremely dusty conditions such as farming, grain hauling or earth moving. Cleaning intervals average about 100,000 miles for over the road trucks. Originally designed for dirt track racing, Fleet-Air filters have been tested on over- the- road trucks and are now available to the public.
