O&S Introduces New Pay Package for Drivers

 

 

 

 

"An investment in our drivers is our investment for the future." was the statement from O&S Trucking.  The Springfield, MO based refrigerated carrier recently announced an increase in pay for Independent Contractors getting paid by the mile.

Effective January 1, 2011:

•Owner Operators will receive $1.00 per mile on all miles with an opportunity to increase that to $1.02 per mile within 90-days.

•Lease Purchase Operators will receive $.92 per mile on all miles with an opportunity to increase that to $.95 per mile within 90-days.

Any driver can qualify for the increase by committing to run on the O&S Service Fleet.  To qualify for the fleet a driver must:

•Have no more than 1 "at fault" service failure per 90-day period.

•Take off no more than 13 days per every 90-days (extra days are provided during the Thanksgiving and Christmas seasons).

•Place no restrictions on dispatch. 

Drivers' need only 6 months recent OTR experience; and can live anywhere in the lower 48 states.

Also, drivers will continue to receive Fuel Surcharge on all loaded miles; and as of March 1, on empty miles surpassing 100 deadhead miles in a single dispatch.

The company also pays for base plate, tolls, permits, reefer fuel and more, including Orientation Compensation.

The O&S Lease Purchase Program offers a $0 Down, $1 Buyout; Walk-A-Way Lease with no credit check.  O&S runs Freightliner tractors with Carrier and ThermoKing Auxillary Power Units (APUs).

O & S Trucking, Inc. is an employee-owned, full service truck line based in Springfield, MO with a second terminal in Huber Heights, OH.  The company primarily hauls temperature-controlled freight. The corporate fleet is comprised of Independent Contractors, including a Lease Purchase division.
