Fort Dodge, IA....Decker Truck Line, Inc. recently named new Drivers of the Month. J.F. Mayo was selected Driver of the Month for the Flatbed division. Mayo has one son, three grandchildren and a great grandchild. When not on the road, he spends time fishing, writing music, playing his guitar and enjoying his horses. He is also a volunteer at St. Jude's Hospital.

Jerry Chapman, Mayo's dispatcher said, "J.F. does a great job, will run about anywhere and is always on time."

Selected as Driver of the Month for the Reefer/Van division was Rick Lackner. Lackner is the parent of three and his hobbies are golf, fishing and cooking barbeque.

"Rick is good at everything he does and has a great sense of humor about him while doing it," stated Scott Myers, Lackner's dispatcher.

Drivers and owner-operators are nominated monthly by their dispatcher. They are selected based on overall performance within all areas of the company, including operational productivity, safety record, maintenance/care of equipment (including idle time), payroll, billing and customer service. All drivers and owner-operators selected as a Driver of the Month are eligible to be chosen as Driver/Owner-operator of the Year.
