For the past nine years the Berube family, owners of Berube's Truck Accessories in Bow, NH, have shown their loyal customers how much their business is appreciated by hosting their annual BBQ/Open House Truck Show.  This long-running event combines two summertime favorites, cookouts and truck shows, and the 2012 version was hotter than ever!

Berube's "BBQ Nine" was held on June 24,2012 and a picture-perfect Sunday resulted in over 100 trucks filling their parking lot and eventually spilling out onto Tallwood Drive.  Truckers came from all over New England and as far away as Quebec, Canada, to enjoy the festivities.  As in past years, the store was closed for this event and drivers were encouraged to lock their wallets in their trucks.  From coffee and homemade pastries (courtesy of Mom Berube) in the early morning, to the smokin' hot barbeque at noon, and then the big raffle in the afternoon, everything was on the house!
Each year the family-oriented event seems to get bigger and the Berube family has already begun an expansion project that will increase the size of their current parking lot.  The 2013 version should be the biggest yet - especially since it will mark the event's 10th anniversary!  This year truckers and trucking enthusiasts got to see some of the Northeast's best working show trucks, some classic antique iron, a number of custom pickups, and even a few classic cars.  There were two inflatable moon bounces for both the big & the kids in the crowd, the "Strings & Things Band" played some great music all day, and the big raffle (for CDL holders only) featured everything from chrome polish, to train horns, to full fenders!  Truckers and their families got the chance to relax and "talk shop" with fellow drivers and friends with no "truck show politics" or trophies involved.  The idea of this event is to show up, show off, and have fun, and all of those in attendance certainly did!  Everyone went home with a full stomach thanks to the barbecue, which featured steaks, ribs, burgers, and all of the fixins that go along with them.
