Computerworld Names Maverick Transportation a 2012 Best of BI Editor’s Choice Awards Honoree
IDG’s Computerworld announced Maverick Transportation as a Best of Business Intelligence (BI) Editor’s Choice Awards honoree. This awards program recognizes successful BI initiatives that drive business value.
“The Computerworld award is an acknowledgment of the commitment Maverick made across the organization to the concept of aggregating all of the data we have to help support our corporate objectives,” said Maverick’s Vice President of IT Wayne Brown. “It's also great recognition for the members on the IT team that embraced and implemented the solution from the ground up.” Brown also acknowledged Information Builders, who is Maverick's Business Intelligence software provider, for nominating their project for this award.
“The organizations honored in this year’s Best of BI Editor’s Choice awards program have learned how to get the valuable insights they need from their data using business intelligence and analytics tools,” said Scot Finnie, editor in chief of Computerworld. “The projects spotlighted run the gamut from a charitable organization using BI to boost donations to a trucking company using analytics to enhance driver productivity without sacrificing safety. Each of the organizations is making better business decisions and, in some cases, generating new revenue streams and tapping into new markets. They’re taking BI to the next level.”
Based in Little Rock, Ark, and operating over 1,300 units, Maverick provides OTR and dedicated service to the flatbed, glass, and temperature controlled transportation markets throughout North America. To learn more visit their website at www.maverickusa.com
