Pilot Flying J Thanks Military with Operation Tank Full of Love
Pilot Flying J gave free gas to military personnel in Oak Grove, Ky. for Operation Tank Full of Love. Local volunteers pumped gas for nearly 1,600 veterans, active soldiers and dependents of those who are deployed.
“The support that our employees, friends, family, volunteers and drivers gave to these soldiers was outstanding. It truly was a special day,” said Pilot Flying J CEO, Jimmy Haslam. “We owe everything to our military, and if we can help them out and show our appreciation in some small way, I’m overjoyed to do it.”
The Oak Grove Pilot, located off I-24 at exit 86, gave away more than $32,000 of fuel during Operation Tank Full of Love. This is the third year for this program at Pilot Flying J. Local church group volunteers and Pilot employees served the men and women who protect this country by pumping their gas and thanking them for the hard work they do.
“Take a moment out of your day to thank someone you know who has served, or is serving, in the military,” Haslam said.
With more than 650 locations from coast to coast, Pilot Flying J is the largest travel center operator in the nation.
