ContainerPort Group Announces Move to New Facility in Indianapolis, IN
ContainerPort Group (CPG) announces its move to a larger and more centrally located facility in Indianapolis, IN. The new facility’s strategic location is located near Interstates 65, 70, and 465 and is well positioned to service the CSX rail ramp and the newly opened Indiana Rail Road Company’s intermodal rail ramp, which is operated by CPG and serviced by the Canadian National Railway Company.
CPG’s increased acreage will enhance the operation’s terminal throughput and provide its customers with additional container yard and loaded trailer storage options. The expansion complements the company’s existing Midwest and Ohio Valley network, which is comprised of Cleveland, Columbus, Cincinnati, Kansas City, Louisville, St. Louis, Chicago and Detroit.
In addition to CPG’s container drayage capabilities with its dedicated fleet of drivers, CPG Indianapolis offers its customers traditional CY inspection service, equipment storage, a full•service repair shop and mobile on•site repair capability with mechanics providing best•of•class chassis and container repair and maintenance services.
“This move strategically positions us for continued growth in the Indianapolis market,” says Jim Kramer, CPG’s Senior Vice President•Commercial. “With the introduction of the Canadian National’s direct rail service from Vancouver and Prince Rupert into Indianapolis, the opening of our new Indianapolis facility will provide CPG customers with the services they require to position themselves to capitalize on the growth in this market.”
CPG expects to be fully operational at its new location by October 7. The address and contact information for CPG Indianapolis is:
