Fall Frenzy At Five Star

ERIE, PA… Five Star International’s Erie, Pennsylvania dealership located on I-90 at State Route 8 facility recently held a “Fall Frenzy” Open House for their customers and the general public. Over 200 customers attended the event held on Friday, September 28th.
There were 11 vendors on hand, including Eaton Corp., Cummins, Inc., Meritor, Weller Truck Parts LLC, Supreme Corp., Trux Inc.Truck Equipment, Penn Commercial Vehicle Solutions, Hendrickson, Capacity of Texas, J&J Truck Bodies and Navistar, Inc.
Customers had the chance to win one of the many great door prizes from flat screen TVs to gift cards and camo hats. Lunch was provided by Five Star’s own Diamond Diner Lunch Truck, a DuraStar tractor built into a mobile catering vehicle that is used for customer appreciation events.
At the heart of the event was the complete line-up of International products including ProStar, LoneStar, PayStar, DuraStar, TerraStar, WorkStar roll off, PayStar water truck, Continental Mixer, Capacity Trailer Jockey and a J&J DynaHauler water transport trailer. Five Star also offered truck, parts and service specials.
The folks at Five Star Erie were pleased to be able to host such a well-attended event for their customers. Having the event in Erie, PA held special significance to the company, as it was the city where company founder Pete Scheler opened the first Five Star International dealership in 1974 on Rt. 20, just East of the city of Erie. The company has since grown to 7 full service facilities: Erie, Harrisburg, Lancaster, Lehigh Valley, Reading, Williamsport and York.
