The Circuit Rider: “Leave All Things To The Will Of God”
“Oh how good it is to have no choice of our own, but to leave all things to the will of God.”
This is the best position a man can get into in this life. WE live in a world of double mindedness and minds that are out of regulation. How shall we stabilize the mid and how shall we settle our thoughts? Here is what the Bible says, “… purify your hearts, ye double minded.”
When the heart is pure, the mind is regulated. God can work through it and speak to the body and give it the commands of what to do. When the heart is purified and the mind is controlled and regulated and our activities are carried out in obedience to the instructions of the spirit, we become a blessing to God, a blessing to ourselves and a blessing to others.
The mistake is often made when we try to choose our own ways and direct our own thoughts. This gets us into trouble. “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they seek God.” “Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength and my Redeemer.” And on and on we go quoting the Scriptures.
But basically this thought is true, “Oh how good it is to have no choice of our own but to leave all things to the will of God.” When God’s will is done, all will be well and we will be blessed.
