Freightliner Trucks Releases Hauler Challenge Game
PORTLAND, OR… Freightliner Trucks has launched its new interactive racing game, “Freightliner Hauler Challenge: Journey to Homestead.” Available for Android, Nook®, Kindle and Apple, the free application puts users’ driving skills to the test as participants virtually maneuver routes in Freightliner Cascadia®, Coronado® and Cascadia Evolution truck models, leading to the NASCAR® championship race.
Freightliner Trucks, the Official Hauler of NASCAR, developed the game to provide an entertaining and interactive experience that puts people in the driver’s seat as they transport NASCAR teams to the final race of the season at the Homestead-Miami Speedway in Florida.
The game features Freightliner-sponsored NASCAR hauler teams and includes drivers from each team who provide commentary on the gamers’ skills throughout the game. Participants choose one of the NASCAR teams featured on the app and Freightliner hauler model to steer through different cross-country roads.
Top participants will be featured on the game leaderboard and the Freightliner Trucks Facebook page, and will have the opportunity to win prizes.
“NASCAR hauler drivers are among the many hard-working men and women on the road, and the Hauler Challenge app reinforces the skills it takes to be a successful driver,” said David Marx, brand development manager for Freightliner Trucks. “Game players see first-hand how NASCAR teams rely on Freightliner to get to the track on time, every time.”
Penske Racing’s Joey Logano is featured in a video promoting the game, which can be found at www.freightlinertrucks.com or www.facebook.com/freightliner. All of Logano’s cars and equipment will be transported by a Freightliner Coronado to the 39 NASCAR races this season.
