Working Show Truck Of The Month: Graham Rogers

By Robert Conrad
The East Coast is the home of some of the best-looking trailer dump combinations in the country. Our Working Show Truck this month is a classy example of the custom dump combos that can be found in the Northeast. Graham Rogers is the proud owner of this 2007 Peterbilt and 2000 City dump combo that turns heads both on and off the highway.
Graham operates Rogers Trucking out of Halifax, MA, and runs the truck year round hauling sand, gravel, and salt. With over 435,000 miles on it, this Peterbilt is a true workhorse that has been tastefully customized to haul its loads in style.
The truck's unique antique white paint is complemented by custom lettering and black front fenders. Graham has added a custom square bumper, trimmed with lights, that flips up when he's off of the highway and trying to avoid all of the holes and obstacles that come up. The truck also features a polished drop visor; a set of straight pipes, and polished full rear fenders. Graham's Peterbilt shows that sometimes, less is more and the clean lines of the classy dirt hauler make it stand out in a crowd. The truck has power to haul whatever load comes along thanks to the 565 Cummins engine that's paired with an 18-speed transmission and a set of 46 4:11 rears.
Graham Rogers is only 38 but he's a trucking veteran with over 20 years of driving experience under his belt. He calls himself a "trucking fanatic" who eats, sleeps, and breathes trucks and trucking! Graham said that he truly enjoys getting behind the wheel each day and wouldn't trade driving for any other job. He wanted to thank his girlfriend Lisa (seen with him in our photo) for all of her help and support. Graham and Lisa shared the cleaning and polishing duties to get the truck shining for our photos. He also sends out a big thanks to his family and friends that have helped and supported him along the way.
Attending various truck shows is what Graham enjoys doing when he's not driving. The only problem with the shows is that most take him out of state. He wanted to give local drivers a show to attend and get a chance to display their trucks. After a lot of planning, endless phone calls, and plenty of preparation, Graham and several of his fellow drivers are planning on having their own show this summer. The show is billed as the 1st Annual Massachusetts Diesel Truck Show and will take place on June 10, 2012 from 9:00 A.M. to 3:30 P.M. at the Raynham Dog Track on 1958 Broadway (Route 138) in Raynham, MA. The show will feature food, fun, and raffles and plenty of custom East Coast iron. A portion of the show's proceeds will benefit the Avon Breast Cancer Foundation. Make plans now to come out to Raynham on June 10th and you'll get to see Graham's Peterbilt up close. For now our photos will give you a preview of the custom work trucks that will be attending the 1st Annual MA Diesel Truck Show.
Congratulations to Graham Rogers for all of his hard work and having his classy dirt-hauling Peterbilt chosen as the Movin' Out Working Show Truck of the Month for May.
