Springtime Has Arrived At Gardenscape

By Steve Pollock
EAU CLAIRE, PA… It’s Spring! It’s the time of the year when a young man’s fancy turn to… well, if you are a trucker … making money! Nobody is busier in the Springtime than Gardenscape Transport, Inc. headquartered off I-80 near Eau Claire, Pennsylvania. Gardenscape is a family owned and operated company that produces and distributes lawn and garden supplies, lime and salt. The company operates two bagging facilities in Pennsylvania, one in Ohio and one in North Carolina. Gardenscape even owns a peat bog and a limestone quarry to supply product.
The company bags a variety of products including peat moss, mushroom compost, landscaping mix, mulch, pelletized lime, lime, water softening salt and salt blocks for deer and livestock. Gardenscape serves as a direct supplier to major retail chains. By hauling their own freight and offering their customers a fair price to do so, Gardenscape doesn’t have to worry about losing accounts to other rate cutting carriers. This provides an abundance of freight from February thru July at Gardenscape, then again in the fall when the company is moving bagged salt.
Gardenscape moves an average of about 500 loads per week at the height of the season. All the excess freight Gardenscape can’t handle is then brokered. During the few months they are not hauling their own freight, Gardenscape serves as a common carrier for a variety of other commodities. The ability to haul their own freight keeps Gardenscape Transport always busy and the company has never had a layoff, even during recessions. There are plenty of driving opportunities available right now at all of Gardenscape’s processing plants. Both OTR flatbed and van drivers are needed, call Jason at 800-255-1653 or log onto www.gardenscapeinc.com.
