THEODORE, AL…  Fleet-Air Filters announces a new high flow foam air filter for APUs and several new models for business class trucks are also now available.

Fleet-Air Filters’ new APU Filter is universal, fitting over 200 APU applications.  It is made from Fleet-Air’s signature foam medium in two layers of fine filtration, just less than a micron.  The medium is oil treated to positively charge the filter and to help entrap the negatively charged dirt particles.  A spare outer sleeve is provided so that it can be changed as needed and then taken home to clean.  All of Fleet-Air Filters High Flow Foam Air Filters are lifetime replacement filters that can be cleaned repeatedly as needed.  APUs operate in a dusty environment, attached to the frame rail of the truck.  Many APU manufacturers recommend replacing the air filter every 100 hours or in 2-4 weeks of continuous use. A clean high flow air filter will allow the engine to operate efficiently, extending its life and improve fuel economy.  Fleet-Air Filters are easily cleaned with Dawn dish detergent and warm water.

Another new filter from Fleet-Air Filters is the FA3517 High Flow Lifetime Foam Air Filter for medium duty trucks.  This filter will fit Ford F650 and F750 trucks with Cummins engines; Freightliner FL50, 60 and 70; FS65 and Sterling L7500 and LT7500.  The filter provides more air to the engine while lowering operating temperatures. Some customers have reported up to 1 mpg improvement in fuel economy. Also new is the FA3743 filter for mid-range trucks used in standard and severe duty service.  It offers superior filtration in severe duty environments.  The filter must be cleaned regularly but saves cost over buying new replacement paper filters.  The FA3743 fits IH PayStar 5900; ProStar 5900i; PayStar 9400i; PayStar 9900i; PayStar 9800 and PayStar 9900ix.  As with all Fleet-Air Filters, it is a permanent, lifetime foam replacement filter that is easily cleaned with soapy water.
