The Circuit Rider: In Time Of Trouble, If One Door Closes – God Will See To It That Another Is Opened
This life is filled with doors. Many are well marked; others have no indication as to what is on the other side of them. Doors can be opened, they can also be closed. Most of the time when the Lord closes a door, He opens a window. God does not forsake His people. He does not leave them standing along. He is always with them.
Many a man and many a woman has searched through life for the door of opportunity without finding it. There’s a text in the Bible that would help us on that, “As we therefore have opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially to them who are of the household of faith.”
You may feel that you are pressed against the wall and that the sky and the earth are catching you in the in-between but Christ is always ready to help – more ready to help than we are willing to call on Him.
We sometimes cry when the door is closed and we wonder if this isn’t the end of it, when reality is when one door closed, another door opens and the path is front of us is the path to victory. As we follow along with the Lord and we walk with Him, we grow to be more like Him. I like that verse that says, “Enoch walked with God and was not, for God took him.” The man who is walking with the Lord, indeed is making progress. Never forget, when the Lord closes a door, He opens a window.
