The Circuit Rider: Be What God Wants You To Be
There are at least three ways the human being lives upon this earth. We see them in everyday life, experience it in our own lives and they have been the steps in the march since the beginning of time.
We have some people who spend all their time trying to “catch up.” They realize they are behind. We wonder sometimes why we get so far behind. Is it that we are lazy and unwilling to meet requirements? Is it because we are negligent and can’t see the value until it is almost too late?
When we are behind, life becomes burdensome. It puts us in high tension and it causes us undue trouble. And there’s a second class. They are constantly trying to get ahead. They are in a sense eager beavers, never satisfied. They live lives of contest other than lives of contribution.
Then there’s a third group. They are the people who are just being. They are not trying to catch up and they are not in a rat race to get ahead. They are just living their lives out and being what God wants them to be.
“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creation, old things are passed away.” They are not trying to get ahead; they are simply being in Christ.
