CARLISLE, PA…Platinum Equity announces the purchase of Keen Transport Company which includes the two operating companies Keen Transport, Inc. and Cressler Trucking, Inc. Platinum Equity is a global firm specializing in the merger, acquisition, and operation of companies that provide services and solutions to customers in a broad range of business markets.

Bill Keen will remain with the company as CEO. Keen has been a family-owned company for 43 years. All current employees are staying on and we do not anticipate day to day operational changes.

Bill Keen, Jesse Keen and Elizabeth Keen are retaining ownership of 9 facilities and will be leasing them back to Platinum. The two new facilities opened in 2011, Winston Salem, North Carolina and Little Rock, Arkansas, will be owned by Platinum Equity.

Platinum Equity was founded in 1995 by Tom Gores and serves business markets that include information technology, telecommunications, logistics, metals services, manufacturing and distribution.
