Crete Carrier Wins Kellogg's Award
LINCOLN, NE… We are proud to announce that the Kellogg Company has named Crete Carrier the recipient of their 2011 NationalCarrier of the Year award. Kellogg Company awards one national carrier per year and Crete was named for this honorable title.
Crete earned this prestigious award by providing outstanding performance in numerous categories throughout 2011.
The criterion for the National Carrier of the Year Award is defined by seven metrics: On-Time Delivery, EDI Compliance, Invoice Accuracy, Percentage of Claims, Safety, Facility Survey, and On-Time Contract Amendments.
Each metric has an assigned point value, which is accumulated throughout the year based on performance and service. Kellogg’s sends a monthly scorecard to the carrier every month that provides feedback and reports how many points the company received for each metric. A monthly ranking is provided to allow the carrier to see how they rank within their category.
“Through efforts of the entire team we focused on the details, managing the business one load at a time, to win the award over very stiff competition. Thank you to our drivers and the rest of the Crete Carrier team” said Tonn Ostergard, President and CEO of Crete Carrier Corporation.
