C.R. England Operates LNG Trucks Leased from PacLease Along Nat Gas Corridor Touted by President Obama
C.R. England Operates LNG Trucks Leased from PacLease Along Nat Gas Corridor Touted by President Obama.
President Obama visited a UPS facility Thursday, Jan. 26, in Las Vegas, touting a model natural gas-fueled corridor that includes publicly accessible LNG refueling stations. This natural gas-fueled corridor, which stretches from Los Angeles to Salt Lake City, also allowed C.R. England Dedicated to implement a pilot project involving LNG-powered Kenworth trucks. The trucks, which went into service in 2011 and are based out of Ontario, Calif., operate along this corridor.
C.R. England Dedicated is a division of the nation’s largest temperature controlled carrier C.R. England, Inc. As the LNG infrastructure grows, C.R. England plans to expand its current California fleet and introduce these power units in other areas of the country.
C.R. England Dedicated accomplished its pilot project through full-service leasing from PACCAR Leasing (PacLease). By leasing natural gas-powered trucks through PacLease, companies can acquire the new technology without having to deal with the maintenance. They also can conserve capital resources for other projects. For more information about how full-service leasing arrangements help companies, including C.R. England Dedicated, please contact Olen Hunter, director of sales for PacLease, at 425-468-7467 or olen.hunter@paccar.com.
