Effective May 1, 2012, the Oregon Department of Transportation Motor Carrier Registration Office at the Farewell Bend Port of Entry (near Huntington) will be permanently closed.

Effective October 1, 2012, the Oregon Department of Transportation Motor Carrier Registration Offices at the Ashland and Umatilla Ports of Entry will be permanently closed as well.

Enforcement Offices and Truck Scales Will Remain OPEN

Motor carriers, drivers and agents that do business with these three Registration Offices will be able to obtain temporary tax and registration credentials using the following methods:

Plan Ahead! Only basic services are available by telephone at night, on weekends, and on most holidays. Full services are available 8 a.m. through 5 p.m., Monday - Friday, except all state observed holidays. Applications for Apportioned Registration and Applications for a Motor Carrier Account or Authority must be faxed to Salem.

Over-Dimension Permits: Single Trip and Annual Over-Dimension Permits are available 7 a.m. - 5 p.m., Monday - Friday by calling 503-373-0000. The Over-Dimension Permit Unit is closed on all state observed holidays.
