Duane Acklie Receives Patriot Award

Crete Carrier is proud to announce that Chairman, Mr. Duane Acklie, has been honored and presented with the ‘Patriot Award’ by the (ESGR) Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve.
The Patriot Award is an award given to an employer (or supervisor) by a service member to thank them for their support. Walter Zink II, Major General (Ret) current NE ESGR Chair and Nick Novak, Colonel (Ret) current NE ESGR Vice Chair, presented a Patriot Award to Duane Acklie at Crete Carrier Corporation on Wednesday, April 25, 2012. This award recognizes Mr. Acklie as a patriotic employer for contributing to national security and protecting liberty and freedom by supporting employee participation in America’s National Guard and Reserve Force.
Sergeant First Class (Ret) and current Crete Carrier Driver, Emory Macy, nominated Mr. Acklie. In Emory’s nomination, he writes, “This award comes from a military soldier to a civilian employer. It was my choice to acclaim the appreciation of Crete Carrier and your stance on military duty. Crete allowed me to “Be All I Could Be”. In the military we try to live by and work by seven values: Loyalty, Duty, Respect, Selfless Service, Honor, Integrity, Personal Courage, and Love. In my view, these seven values are Mr. Duane Acklie, and Crete Carrier Corporation.”
