Holland Enterprises’ Service Manager of the Year - Richard Houska
Richard Houska, the 2012 Holland Enterprises’ Service Manager of the Year has proven time and time again his commitment to excellence, continuing education and professionalism. His technical knowledge, product knowledge and communications skills make him a valuable asset to Holland Enterprises, Inc.
Richard has worked at Holland Enterprises, Inc. for over 25 years, spending the last 20 as service manager. During this time he has worked with ownership, the Safety Department, drivers, customers and employees to ensure that equipment is maintained to a high standard. As a member of the National Lease Program, Richard attends their meetings to learn new ways to improve equipment and safety. As new techniques become available, Richard trains mechanics to ensure proficiency.
Richard’s significant contributions include the addition of the On-Guard System to new vehicles, helping drivers maintain safe travel distances and avoid rear end crashes. He has also added Air Weigh and Right Weigh scaling to minimize time and costs associated with driver scaling.
Richard and his wife Kristi have three children.
