Line 1 Adventures

As professional truck driver we often rely on rest areas through out the country. We have found many rest areas to be memorable due to their landscaping, uniqueness of the facility, or the scenery.
I stopped by this rest area on a recent trip passing through Missouri on I-44 west bound near MM 110. When I pulled off of the interstate I had no clue what interesting things I was about to see.
The sidewalk from the truck parking area to the building was stripped like a two lane road. On the walk into the building on the Route 66 “Road” I noticed that each picnic area was built to resemble a typical roadside attraction. On the car side I found a fun sign advertising the Missouri Route 66 Welcome Center that I believe would be lit up at night. This rest area had a lot of room for truck parking and is one I am sure we will stop back by.
