The Circuit Rider: Fear None But The Lord

The Bible says to sanctify the Lord, which means to set Him apart and to let Him be your fear. Fear is a poison that enters the bloodstream and paralyzes the will to do. Fear is overcome only by faith. We are to fear none but the Lord. Let Him be your fear. Let Him be your dread.
When you stop to think of what the Lord is to His people, you can understand why they should fear none but Him. First, He is their sanctuary, their place of worship and the place where we meet with God.
The intermediator between man and God is in Christ. He is a stumbling stone to our enemies. Our enemies would destroy us but they find when they would take us, there is a stone of stumbling in front of them and they can’t reach us.
He lifts us above the storm or He goes with us through the storm. Then the Bible says, He is a gin, which is a place to grind. When grinding troubles hit us, we go to our Christ who said, “Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”
He is a snare to our destroyers. When the bricks and the sycamores are cut down, then build with stones and cedars. Man makes bricks and builds with sycamores. God makes stones and builds with cedars.
