Line 1 Adventures - Peggy Sue's 50's Diner

A recent Line 1 Adventure took us to Peggy Sue's 50's Diner, which is located in Yermo, CA, I-15 Exit 491.
The diner was built in 1954 with railroad ties and mortar and was closed for a period of time before reopening in 1987. The owners have a vast collection of movie and TV memorabilia on display with many autographed pictures. The diner includes a 5 & Dime store, a soda fountain, and pizza parlor, and the diner. The waitresses are all dressed in 50's waitress uniforms and it is easy to be transported back in time.
There is seating outside in the Peggy Sue’s 50’s Diner is truly an oasis for weary travelers in the desert. We have stopped here many times as the parking lot can handle a great number of trucks and trailers.
On this trip we had time to stop at Peggy Sue's to enjoy breakfast with long time fellow Trucker Buddy,Steen Gronlund. Steen has a dedicated run out of Denver for Mile Hi foods and has been stopping at Peggy Sue's for at least the past 20 years. Peggy Sue's always has friendly waitresses but walking into Peggy Sue's with Steen was like walking into the diner with a dearly loved family member.
