Hunter Family of Companies Marks 75th Year of Business

Hunter Truck Sales and Service recently celebrated 75 years in business with an Open House at their original facility in Eau Claire, Pennsylvania. Homer Hunter founded the company in 1938. The event was attended by customers and friends as well as representatives from Peterbilt and International. Many of the Hunter Companies’ vendors were also on hand. Guests enjoyed refreshments and a catered dinner with orchestra chamber music. Harry and Bob Hunter, former owners and past Presidents, both spoke about the company’s growth over the years, including its ongoing commitment to serving its customers.

Bob Hunter, Chairman of the Board was honored with a 50 Years of Service Award. Third Generation Owners; President, Jeffery Hunter, and Executive Vice Presidents; David Hunter, William Hunter and Nancy Hunter Mycka were introduced as well as David’s son Tyler Hunter , the fourth generation Hunter who is the Site Manager of the newly opened Lamar, Pennsylvania dealership.
The Lamar, Pennsylvania and the recently opened Wheeling, West Virginia dealerships bring the number of dealerships in the Hunter family to 17 locations in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York and West Virginia.
