Pilot Flying J Trucker Triathletes Complete Anderson Revolution3 Triathlon

ANDERSON, SC… Pilot Flying J sponsored 11 professional drivers from Truckers-to-Triathletes (T2T) and Prime, Inc. who participated in the Revolution3 Triathlon in Anderson, South Carolina on Sunday, Oct.14.
Truckers-to-Triathletes John Schneidewind, Jason Stringer, and Steve Johnson completed the Half Rev (70.3 miles) as a relay team. T2T Bret Wright competed individually in the Olympic Rev (31.9 miles). From Prime, Inc., Mario Abramson, Matthew Young, David Calhoun, Matt Buchhanan, Christopher Palmer, and Diane Kehoe competed as two relay teams in the Olympic Rev portion of the Rev3 Tri. Fellow Prime, Inc. member, Jeff Schmid, completed the Olympic Rev Aquabike.
“I can’t think of anything more inspiring than seeing these drivers literally step out of their tractor and step into the race,” said Dave Parmly, employee services manager for Pilot Flying J. “Whether they were competing as part of a relay or doing all three legs of the triathlon, these drivers demonstrate a commitment to health that is simply amazing. Pilot Flying J is delighted to play a small part in getting them into the race.”
As part of Pilot Flying J’s training plan to meet the health needs of professional drivers, Pilot Flying J also presented the Revolution3 Triathlon 2012 race series. Pilot Flying J plans to continue its promotion of better health for professional drivers in 2013 by supporting drivers in their future triathlon endeavors.
