CLEVELAND, OH… Representatives of the U.S. Army, Cleveland Recruiting Battalion and PI&I Motor Express, a steel hauler in Masury, Ohio signed an agreement on November 15th to provide priority-hiring status to qualified Soldiers participating in the Partnership for Youth Success (PaYS) program.  The event took place at the corporate offices of PI&I at 908 Broadway Ave. Extension, Masury, Ohio.

PaYS is a partnership between the Army and a cross-section of over 450 corporations and public sector agencies.  It provides the Soldier with an opportunity to serve their country while preparing for their future.  The PaYS program provides America’s youth with an opportunity to serve their country while they prepare for their future.  Soldiers live by the Army’s Core Values – Loyalty, Duty, Respect, Selfless Service, Honor, Integrity and Personal Courage.  The Values are very appealing to employers.  In addition, the Soldiers also learn discipline, communication and leadership abilities while in the Army.

Upon completion of their active duty commitment, Soldiers coordinate with the PaYS partner they selected upon enlistment and are entitled to an interview with that company if openings exist.  They can begin the hiring process as they prepare to leave the military. If the Soldier is a reservist, they are able to apply when they return from their Basic Training and Advanced Individual Training for truck driving.
