New Parking Guide becomes an Essential Tool for Over-The-Road Truckers
Ben Heckman, president of OTR Parking Inc., Tucson, AZ, has announced the release of the OTR Parking GuideTM. The guide features truck-parking locations along major and secondary routes across the continental United States. Heckman, himself a former OTR trucker, said the book grew out of his own desire to have all the key information about truck parking easily accessible and right at his fingertips. "With the OTR Parking GuideTM,” says Heckman, “drivers are able to make quick, sometimes difficult, decisions efficiently and with confidence. The new guide helps drivers optimize their logs and reduce their stress."
“We designed the OTR Parking GuideTM for drivers who want high-quality materials and a full spiral binding for easy, hassle-free use,” says Heckman. The OTR Parking GuideTM is available over the Web at OTR Parking.com in two formats. The standard size, 6.5” by 8.5”, is $59.95, and the large print version, 8.125” by 11”, is $74.95.
Both formats feature parking locations for each of the 48 states in two sections per state: Interstate and Other Highways. A state’s first section shows a map of that state’s Interstate highways, followed by parking locations listed by exit number and/or mile marker. That state’s second section shows a map of the Other Highways for that state, followed by the parking locations listed alphabetically by town name.
“Drivers can use the maps for orientation and then flip the page for details about each parking location, “ says Heckman.
Heckman drove six years for Swift, Crete and SLT, hauling dry-vans throughout the 48 states and Canada. He also hauled explosives, was twice driver of the month, received multiple safe driving awards, and trained other drivers.
