Viva Las Vegas! NATSN Hosts Annual Meeting
The North American Truck Stop Network (NATSN) met in Las Vegas, NV on February 19th and enjoyed breakfast and lunch with fellow independent truck stop operators.
NATSN is one of the oldest networks available to truck stops for their marketing efforts in these hard-pressed economic times. NATSN VIP, their driver loyalty program, is rated at the top of list as the program gives away over $60,000 each and every month.
NATSN is run by their membership and they elected new board of directors and officers at the meeting. Mike Horrall of Ponderosa Truck Stop in Charleston, TN is the President of the Board; Wendi Powell of Big Boys Travel Center in Kenly, NC was elected Vice-President and John Langley of Golden Acorn Travel Center in Campo, CA was elected Secretary/Treasurer. Other board members consist of Kimball Davis, Winners Circle, in Arkadelphia and Malvern, AR; Dave Campbell, Crossroads Travel Center, Missoula, MT; Don Demko, Eco Travel Center, Crossville, TN; James Bloodworth, Acme Truck Stop in Orlando, FL; Jeremy Omelchuk of Husky Oil represents the Husky Travel Centre’s in Canada; Lamar Rowe, Past President; and Ron Craig, Emeritus Board Member.
NATSN has launched a fuel card with the PTP network and the card is processed through Fleet One, for more information call Mike at 800-771-6016. There is no transaction fee to the fleet and an automatic two-cent discount with larger discounts available to those fleets willing to focus their volume.
NATSN also has many strategic partners that can help their member truck stops increase their profits. NATSN is a proud sponsor of Movin’ Out magazine, which is free to the trucker and brings him/her many interesting articles as well as events that they can participate in. NATSN truck stops have this magazine available for their trucking customers.
